1. A method for treating an allergy in a subject, which comprises intranasally administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of an immunogenic composition comprising an allergen and a nanoemulsion, wherein:
(a) the subject has an established Th2 polarized immune response prior to administering the immunogenic composition; and
(b) the nanoemulsion comprises oil, water, ethanol, a polysorbate surfactant and a cationic compound, whereupon the allergy is treated.
