| 8. An emission treatment system comprising:
three separate and distinct separation devices operable to cooperatively separate emission products from an exhaust stream;
a recycle passage for recirculating a portion of the exhaust stream between a first and a second of the three separation devices,
wherein a third one of the three separation devices is disposed along the recycle passage to separate emission products from
the recirculated portion of the exhaust stream; and
a controller in communication with at least the first separation device and the recycle passage, and the controller is configured
to control a rate of introduction of at least one sorbent into the first separation device and a rate of introduction of regenerated
sorbent from the recycle passage into the first separation device.
