| 1. A linear compressor comprising:
a linear motor including
a stator having a stationary iron core and a magnet wire retained on said stationary iron core,
a mover disposed at an inner side of said stator, said mover including a moving iron core and a magnet, and
a plate-shaped elastic member supporting said mover such that said mover is movable in rocking directions;
a cylinder disposed with a longitudinal axis substantially parallel to the rocking directions of said mover;
a piston reciprocally disposed in said cylinder and connected to said mover;
a closed casing, said closed casing housing each of said linear motor, said cylinder, and said piston therein; and
a dynamic absorber mounted in said closed casing, said dynamic absorber including a spring and a weight attached to said spring,
said spring being elastically deformable in the rocking directions of said mover,
wherein said closed casing has an inner periphery formed in a generally cylindrical shape, and
wherein said weight is formed into one of a generally annular shape and a generally arcuate shape along said inner periphery
of said closed casing.
