1. A method for generating a pseudo-random noise (PN) code with parallel PN generators, comprising the steps of:
configuring L programmable PN generators to each output every Lth chip of a PN code;
enabling select PN generators of the L PN generators to delay their output by a predetermined number of chips less than or equal to L for a fine slip to enable the high rate PN code to be delayed for a set number of chips to synchronize the high rate PN code with another PN code; and
multiplexing the outputs of each of the L programmable PN generators to produce the high rate PN code.
