| 1. A multi-layer surface treating pad, comprising:
an upper layer suitable to serve as one part of a hook/loop type fastener system;
an interior layer comprising a mix of pulp and synthetic material that is impregnated with a liquid surface treating formula;
and
a lower layer which comprises an abrasive material;
wherein the pad is a cleaning pad and the formula comprises an acid; and
wherein when the pad is first wetted with water it can release a cleaning solution of at least 1 percent acid by weight, and
when that same pad is then wetted a second time with water it can still release a cleaning solution of at least 1 percent
acid by weight, and when that same pad is thereafter wetted a third time with water it can still release a cleaning solution
of at least 1 percent acid by weight.
