| 1. An apparatus, comprising:
a light sensor disposed on a substrate, the light sensor operable to convert light intensity into a voltage signal;
a cover plate disposed over the light sensor to form a cavity, having a volume, between the light sensor and the cover plate,
the cover plate operable to pass light;
a gel-like filter material filling the entire volume of the cavity between the light sensor and the cover plate, the gel-like
filter material operable to filter at least a portion of the light passing through the cover plate and onto the light sensor.
