1. A method, comprising:
publishing data indicating available nearby media content stored in an original format on or accessible via a first nearby media source and a second nearby media source, each nearby media source being located on a local area network;
receiving the data indicating the available nearby media content at a client device located on the local area network;
displaying, on the client device, information identifying at least a portion of the available nearby media content; and
pulling at least some portion of the available nearby media content in the original format to the client device for subsequent playback in the original format.
