| 1. A cartridge for an optical data storage disc comprising:
a plastic shell having a disc cavity, the disc cavity bounded by a floor and lateral walls, the lateral walls laterally surrounding
the disc cavity, the floor adjoining the lateral walls and occupying the entire area enclosed by the lateral walls;
an optical data storage disc located in the disc cavity; and
a sheet metal cover plate attached to the plastic shell, the sheet metal cover plate abutting the top surfaces of the lateral
walls around the lateral perimeter of the disc cavity, a shutter window being formed in the sheet metal cover plate.
