An isolated peptide having a length of less than 60 amino acid residues and comprising the amino acid sequence selected from CRGRRST (SEQ ID NO:5), CRSRKG (SEQ ID NO:9), and CKAAKNK (SEQ ID NO:15), wherein said peptide selectively homes to premalignant pancreatic vasculature, malignant pancreatic vasculature or pancreatic tumor cells.
