| 1. An integrated circuit (IC) comprises:
a baseband processing module coupled to:
convert outbound data into a stream of outbound symbols; and
convert a stream of inbound symbols into inbound data;
a radio frequency (RF) circuit coupled to:
convert inbound RF signals into the stream of inbound symbols; and
convert the stream of outbound symbols into outbound RF signals; and
an on-chip baseband-to-RF interface that includes:
a receive/transmit section that, when in a receive mode, provides the stream of inbound symbols from the RF circuit to the
baseband processing module and, when in a transmit mode, provides the stream of outbound symbols from the baseband processing
module to the RF circuit;
a control section that provides a control communication path between the baseband processing module and the RF circuit; and
a clock section that provides a clock communication path between the baseband processing module and the RF circuit.
