| 1. A terminal reception apparatus for receiving MAC (Medium Access Control) ID (Identification) information indicating a terminal
to receive packet data transmitted by a base station and length information of the packet data in a mobile communication system
for high-speed packet transmission, comprising:
a despreader for extracting symbols of a packet data control channel over which the MAC ID information and the length information
are transmitted, by despreading a received signal with a Walsh code;
an energy detector for measuring energy of symbols output from the despreader and generating a packet data control detection
signal when the measured energy value is greater than a threshold;
a length information generator operable in response to the packet data control detection signal, for extracting a Walsh code
having a peak value by performing inverse fast Hadamard transform on the symbols from the despreader using a determined Walsh
code based on the length information, and generating the length information according to the extracted Walsh code;
a Walsh decover section for Walsh-decovering the symbols from the despreader with the extracted Walsh code; and
a decoder for generating the MAC ID information by decoding symbols from the Walsh decover section.
