1. A compound of Formula I,

and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts, pharmaceutically acceptable esters, enantiomers, diastereomers, or N-oxides, wherein U and V are selected from hydrogen and fluorine (wherein both U and V cannot simultaneously be hydrogen);
A is selected from;

R is H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, alkoxy, cycloalkyl, aryl, aralkyl, heteroaryl, heterocyclyl, heteroarylalkyl or heterocyclylalkyl, —CORa, —C(O)ORa, or S(O)2Ra;
R1 is azido, halogen, NCS, NHYRfNRjC(=T)NRfRq, NRfRq or NRj(C═O)ORs( );
Ra is selected from hydrogen, straight or branched unsubstituted or substituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, alkoxy, cycloalkyl, aryl, aralkyl, heteroaryl, heterocyclyl, heteroarylalkyl or heterocyclylalkyl;
Y is (C═O), (C═S) or SO2;
Rf is hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, alkoxy, cycloalkyl, aryl, aralkyl, heteroaryl, heterocyclyl, heteroarylalkyl or heterocyclylalkyl;
T is O, S, —N(CN), —N(NO2), or —CH(NO2);
Rj is hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, aralkyl, heterocyclyl, heteroaryl, heteroarylalkyl or heterocyclylalkyl;
Rq is hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, aralkyl, heteroaryl, heterocyclyl, heteroarylalkyl or heterocyclylalkyl, and
Rs is alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, aralkyl, heteroarylalkyl or heterocyclylalkyl.
