1. A method comprising:
receiving, by a network device, a first signal occupying 12 subcarriers; and
processing, by the network device, the first signal based on a sequence {fn}, wherein fn is an element in the sequence {fn}, fn meets fn=xn·exp(2π·j·a·n), 0≤n≤11, n is an integer, a is a real number, xn=exp (π·j·sn/4), sn is an element sequence in a sequence {sn} consisting of 12 elements, the sequence {sn} is one of the following sequences: {−1, −3, 3, −1, −3, −3, −3, −1, 1, −1, 1, −3}, {−1, 1, 3, −3, 1, −1, 1, −1, −1, −3, 1, −1}, {−3, −1, 3, −3, −3, −1, −3, 1, −1, −3, 3, 3}, {−3, −3, 3, −3, −1, 3, 3, 3, −1, −3, 1, −3}, {−3, −1, −1, −3, −3, −1, −3, 3, 1, 3, −1, −3}, {3, −1, −3, 3, −3, −1, 3, 3, 3, −3, −1, −3}, {−3, −1, 3, 1, −3, −1, −3, 3, 1, 3, 3, 1}, and {1, −1, 3, −1, −1, −1, −3, −1, 1, 1, 1, −3}.
