| 1. A configuration management system, comprising:
at least one configuration storage device containing configuration data; and
a plurality of integrated circuits coupled to said at least one configuration storage device,
wherein said plurality of integrated circuits are coupled in a loop,
wherein each of said plurality of integrated circuits comprises at least one configuration management controller for managing
a configuration of another integrated circuit in said loop in accordance with said configuration data,
wherein said plurality of integrated circuits is deployed in at least one radiation tolerant device, and
wherein said at least one configuration management controller detects a single event upset (SEU) and effects a reconfiguration
of said other integrated circuit in said loop using said configuration data received from said at least one configuration
storage device, or said at least one configuration management controller generates a heartbeat signal that is transmitted
to a watchdog circuit which monitors the heartbeat signal.
