1. A contact arm assembly for a switchgear circuit breaker comprising:
a contact arm defining a central axis, the contact arm including a first arm end configured for electrical connection with a pole of a circuit breaker, and a second arm end having a distal end defining a shoulder and an engagement that protrudes from the contact arm proximal to the shoulder;
a plurality of contact fingers mounted circumferentially on the second arm end of the contact arm and configured to electrically engage a primary circuit contact, each of the contact fingers comprising a body having a depression that receives the engagement for electrical contact, the body of each of the contact fingers comprises first and second finger ends, an outer edge configured to receive coil springs at each of the first and second finger ends, and an inner edge having said depression formed therein at the second finger end; and
an annular ring received onto the shoulder of the contact arm, the annular ring including an outer circumferential edge that extends outward beyond the shoulder,
wherein a medial portion of the inner edge of each of the contact fingers includes a slot that receives the outer circumferential edge of the annular ring, the medial portion of the inner edge forms a pivot point allowing the first finger end of each of the contact fingers to bias when a primary circuit contact electrically engages the contact fingers.
