1. A catheter for removing an obstruction from a blood vessel, the catheter comprising:
an elongated tube having a lumen and a distal end, the elongated tube configured to transition between an expanded state and a collapsed state, the elongated tube sized and shaped to be advanced through the blood vessel to the obstruction in the collapsed state;
an actuator tube disposed within the elongated tube; and
an actuation wire disposed within the actuator tube, the actuation wire including an elongated shaft coupled to a plurality of struts via an articulation region, a distal end of each one of the plurality of struts affixed about a circumference of the distal end of the elongated tube,
wherein translation of the actuator tube relative to the actuation wire causes the plurality of struts to expand radially outward to transition the elongated tube to the expanded state, thereby permitting removal of the obstruction from the blood vessel.
