| 1. A resin composition consisting of at least one polyphenylene ether, at least one poly(alkenylaromatic) compound, at least
one weld line strength promoter, and at least one component selected from the group consisting of flame retardants, impact
modifiers, mold releases, antioxidants, stabilizers, fillers, and mixtures thereof, wherein the weld line strength promoter
is selected from the group consisting of:
cyclohexylamine, 1-hexadecylamine, a triamine having the formula:
![]() ![]() a polyamine having a backbone of the formula
![]() a polyamine having a backbone of the formula:
![]() polyamine compounds wherein from 0% to 100% of the polyamine backbone NH units are substituted by one or more units having
the formula:
—(R1O)xR2
wherein R1 is C2-C6 alkylene, C3-C6 alkyl substituted alkylene, and mixtures thereof; R2 is hydrogen, C1-C4 alkyl, and mixtures thereof, and x is from 1 to 12 and y is from 5 to 5000;
a polyethyleneimine, and combinations of two or more of the foregoing weld line strength promoters.
