1. An isolated monoclonal antibody developed against an allergenic protein from the latex or tissue of Hevea brasiliensis (Hev b), or allergenic sub-units or aggregates thereof, wherein said protein is allergenic protein Hev b IV which is oligomeric and consists of three major species of monomeric polypeptides with molecular weights 50, 55 and 57 kDa that are disulphide-linked into dimers of approximate molecular weights 100, 110 and 115 kDa.
