1. A user equipment (UE) apparatus, comprising:
a processor configured to cause the UE to:
generate a request for authorization to use edge compute resources;
receive a response indicating that the UE is authorized to use edge compute resources;
subsequently, generate an edge compute request, wherein the edge compute request indicates one or more criteria for the edge compute request;
receive a response to the edge compute request, wherein the response to the edge compute request includes an indication of one or more suggested edge application servers and network slice information for the edge compute request; and
determine one or more edge application servers to which to connect, based at least in part on the one or more suggested edge application servers that are indicated in the response to the edge compute request.
