1. A system for detecting an impact on a vehicle, comprising:
a plurality of transducers positioned on an interior side of a vehicle surface configured to generate transducer data;
a data acquisition module configured to receive the transducer data from the plurality of transducers and generate combined transducer data;
a signal processor configured to process the combined transducer data and identify outlier data;
a sensor suite coupled to the vehicle to generate sensor suite data, wherein the sensor suite data includes inertial measurement unit (IMU) data; and
an impact detection module to receive the combined transducer data, the outlier data, and the sensor suite data, and to detect the impact on the vehicle based, at least in part, on the combined transducer data, the outlier data, and the sensor suite data, wherein the impact detection module is to compare the IMU data with the combined transducer data to determine a coherence measurement, and to detect the impact on the vehicle based, at least in part, on the coherence measurement.
