| 1. In a distributed network compatible with both Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) and Java™2 Enterprise Edition
(J2EE), a method comprising:
instantiating a CORBA server within an Enterprise Java™ Bean (EJB) container, wherein the CORBA server is instantiated during
startup of middle-tier hardware, wherein the CORBA server is initiated in a servlet context with parameters that are passed
back and forth from an application that is called;
instantiating at least one Enterprise Java™ Bean within the Enterprise Java™ Bean (EJB) container;
accessing a local interface of the EJB from the instantiated CORBA server; and
providing data to a client workstation.
