1. A system comprising:
a hardware layer, including a processor, a storage system, a first interface to a local premises network and a second interface to a wide area network;
a software layer, coupled to the hardware layer and including an operating system; and
a number of bundles, each of the number of bundles coupled to the software layer and including
a digital identifier comprising a digital signature,
a service,
wherein the number of bundles includes
a provisioning bundle including a provisioning service, the provisioning service retrieving bundles from a remote server over the wide area network and installing the retrieved bundles, and retrieving updates to the number of bundles and installing the retrieved updates,
an authentication bundle including an authentication service, the authentication service authenticating the identity of a user and determining if the user is authorized to access one or more of the number of bundles,
a partition, including at least one of the number of bundles, and configured to control access to the at least one of the number of bundles from outside of the partition,
wherein the at least one of the number of bundles include digital identifiers that permit the at least one of the number of bundles to access the partition.
