| 2. A method of recording bitstream information on an information recording medium configured to have data recorded thereon
by a recording apparatus and data reproduced therefrom by a reproducing apparatus, said data including management information
used to access a stream object for at least one of recording and reproducing the data by at least one of the recording apparatus
and the reproducing apparatus and bitstream information including I-picture information of MPEG, wherein a first data unit
is defined as a pair of a transport packet of 188 bytes and a time stamp appended to the transport packet, a second data unit
is defined as a data unit of stream blocks or stream object units, and a third data unit is defined as an object data of said
stream object, said information recording medium including,
a data area configured to record the bitstream information, including said third data unit including one or more said second
data units each including one or more said first data units, and
a management area configured to record the management information of the bitstream information, wherein said management information
includes access unit data including,
time information of an access unit corresponding to the I-picture information,
and
position information of the access unit,
said method comprising:
generating the stream object data;
recording the generated stream object on the data area;
generating the management information; and
recording the generated management information on the management area.
