| 1. A shading correction apparatus performing shading correction of an image sensed while driving a zoom lens, comprising:
a storage unit that stores shading correction values at a plurality of discrete zoom positions determined in advance from
among all possible zoom positions of the zoom lens;
a calculation unit that calculates a shading correction value to be applied to an image for which the zoom position at the
time the image was sensed is not one of the plurality of discrete zoom positions using the shading correction values stored
in the storage unit; and
a correction unit that applies the shading correction value calculated by the calculation unit to the image,
wherein the calculation unit determines a zoom lens position at the time the image was sensed based on a zooming speed of
the zoom lens at that time and calculates the shading correction value corresponding to the determined zoom lens position.
