| 1. A guard interval detector for determining a guard interval length of an input signal, said guard interval length being
one of a plurality of available guard interval lengths, said guard interval detector comprising:
an auto-correlator for generating a correlation result in response to said input signal;
a power density calculator for generating a plurality of power density results in response to said correlation result and
said available guard interval lengths; and
a maximum detector for generating a determination result in response to the maximum value of said plurality of power density
results, wherein said maximum detector comprises:
a plurality of sub-maximum detection blocks for determining a plurality of sub-maximum values of said plurality of power density
results, respectively; and
a main maximum detection block for determining the maximum value of said plurality of sub-maximum values and generating said
determination result.
