| 1. A rotating electrical machine comprising:
a stator having ends, a stator body, and a stator winding inserted in the stator body;
a rotor which rotates about an axis and is surrounded concentrically by the stator;
wherein the stator winding comprises, in a concentric arrangement, a lower layer which is more remote from the axis, and an
upper layer which is closer to the axis, of axially extending winding bars which emerge from the stator body at the ends of
the stator, the winding bars being arranged, within an end winding, with their bar ends on two concentric circles in pairs
one above the other in the radial direction; and
wherein in winding bars of a pair which belong to different phases within a phase segregation, the bar ends are radially spread
to increase the radial distance between the different phases.
