| 1. A method of assessing the risk of prostate cancer in an African American man, comprising:
detecting the presence or absence of a germline 3055A→T mutation in a polynucleotide comprising an EPHB2 gene (SEQ ID NO.:2
or 4) in a biological sample from said African American man;
wherein the presence of said germline 3055A→T mutation indicates a predisposition to prostate cancer in said African American
man.
