1. One or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media storing computer-executable instructions that upon execution cause one or more processors to perform acts comprising:
receiving a distress location;
receiving a projected path and distance of a responding vehicle-to-everything (V2X) component going to the distress location;
configuring each of a plurality of geofencing areas to have a coverage area that is within a direct communication signal range of the responding V2X component;
mapping the plurality of geofencing areas to the projected path;
receiving a current location of the responding V2X component;
triggering an identification of V2X components in a particular geofencing area when the current location of the responding V2X component is at least a geofencing area away from an edge of the particular geofencing area; and
sending notifications to identified V2X components in the particular geofencing area.
