1. A switch comprising:
one or more processors; and
one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
compare each interface of the switch to certified path information of a Protocol Independent Multicast (“PIM”) domain;
determine that a first egress interface of the switch is a fabric interface of the certified path information;
forward a downstream certifying message over the first egress interface, the downstream certifying message comprising the certified path information; and
determine that a second egress interface of the switch has a last hop router flag set to a positive value.
