1. A physical medium, comprising:
a radio frequency (RF) component;
an integrated circuit (IC) chip component;
a memory; and
one or more processors, communicatively coupled to the memory, configured to:
detect, via the RF component, that the physical medium is within a communicative proximity of a first user device or a first medium associated with a first account, wherein the physical medium is not permanently associated with an account;
communicate, via the RF component, with the first user device or the first medium based on detecting that the physical medium is within the communicative proximity of the first user device or the first medium, wherein communicating includes:
transmitting an indication of an identifier associated with the physical medium, and
receiving an indication that the physical medium is temporarily paired with the first account, wherein the physical medium is temporarily paired with the first account based on one or more restrictions;
configure the IC chip component to indicate that the physical medium is paired with the first account based on receiving the indication that the physical medium is to be paired with the first account;
detect, via the RF component or the IC chip component, that the physical medium is within a communicative proximity of a terminal; and
transmit, via the RF component or the IC chip component and to the terminal, an indication that the physical medium is paired with the first account, wherein the terminal performs an action associated with the first account based on the indication that the physical medium is paired with the first account.
