1. An airway assist device, comprising:
a barrel having a barrel body disposed between a barrel proximal end and a barrel distal end, said barrel distal end having an opening;
a plunger slidably disposed within said barrel;
a handle connected to said plunger and extending outward of said barrel proximal end, said plunger adapted to be drawn outward of the proximal end of said barrel through manual slide control of said plunger with said handle;
an angled connector tube having an angled connector tube first end opposite an angled connector tube second end, said angled connector tube first end connected to said opening on said barrel distal end; and
a face mask configured to seal about a mouth and nose of a person, said face mask having a hollow stem and a throat tube connected to said angled connector tube second end, said hollow stem connected to said angled connector tube second end to dispose a longitudinal axis of said barrel body in fixed spatial relation to said hollow stem of said face mask at an angle of less than 180 degrees and greater than 90 degrees.
