| 1. A gravel pack apparatus for use in a wellbore, comprising:
a screen assembly to filter particulates;
at least one shunt conduit to carry gravel slurry; and
a swellable element, wherein the swellable element is formed of a material to swell in a presence of an activating agent to
seal against the wellbore, wherein the swellable element when swelled expands radially outwardly, and wherein at least one
axial path is defined in the material of the swellable element such that one or more walls of the axial path are provided
by the material, the at least one axial path to provide a portion of the at least one shunt conduit.
