| 1. A processing module comprising:
a first switching device coupled to a first signal path;
a second switching device coupled to a second signal path and a third signal path;
a third switching device coupled to the first and second switching devices; and
a processing unit coupled to the first and third switching devices, the first, second, and third switching devices operable
to couple the processing unit to each of the first and third signal paths and to have the second and third signal paths bypass
the processing unit, the first signal path being a normal path for the processing unit, the second signal path being a failure
path configured to be coupled to a normal path of a different processing unit, and the third signal path being a pass through
path bypassing the processing unit toward another processing unit.
