1. An isolated glutathione S-transferase omega 2 (GSTO2) polypeptide, wherein said polypeptide comprises an amino acid sequence which differs from SEQ ID NO:9 solely by a modification selected from the group consisting of (a) an amino acid substitution at position 41 of SEQ ID NO:9, (b) an amino acid substitution at position 130 of SEQ ID NO:9, (c) an amino acid substitution at position 158 of SEQ ID NO:9, and (d) any combination of (a)-(c).
