1. A label printer comprising:
a housing;
a top cover placed over the housing, adapted to discharge a printed label with a printed surface facing downward through a clearance between the housing and the top cover;
a guide member vertically provided in the housing for receiving the printed label which is discharged while sliding on the guide member, with the printed surface being in contact with the guide member, into a vertical state where the printed surface is visible; and
a button provided in front of the guide member, the button being operated by a user,
wherein the top cover is provided with a recess adjacent to the guide member, the recess receiving a plurality of printed labels from the guide member, and
wherein the guide member is structured to prevent the printed label from approaching and covering the button.
