| 1. An image recognition method comprising:
generating a range image having a depth value that reflects a three-dimensional shape of an object by extracting a spatial
intensity distribution from reflected light from an object that corresponds to emitting light whose intensity varies along
with time;
preparing a deformation parameter;
deforming the range image using the deformation parameter to generate a deformed image;
recognizing the presence/absence of three-dimensional motion of the object in the range image by comparing the deformed image
with a new range image; and
recognizing a series of motions recognized from each of a series of a plurality of range images.
