| 1. An optical disk apparatus comprising:
a light emitting unit configured to emit a single light beam onto an optical disk;
a light detecting unit including at least three light detecting portions each configured to receive light reflected off the
optical disk and produce corresponding output, the at least three light detecting portions being arranged in a track direction
of the optical disk;
a tracking error signal generating unit configured to generate at least two types of the tracking error signal using the outputs
from the at least three light detecting portions; and
a tracking control unit configured to perform tracking control on the optical disk on the basis of the tracking error signal.
