1. A method for manufacturing a body-worn device adapted to the shape of a body area of an individual, said method comprising the steps of:
selecting one of a plurality of characteristic anatomical features of a shape of the body area as present at a standard of the body area;
preparing a digitized three-dimensional representation of said characteristic anatomical feature;
preparing a digitized three-dimensional custom representation of the body area of the individual;
automatically determining a best-fitting location of said digitized representation of said characteristic anatomical feature at the digitized custom representation of the body area of the individual by comparing said digitized three-dimensional representation of said characteristic anatomical feature with and along said digitized three-dimensional custom representation of the body area of the individual;
determining a detailing area oriented on said determined best-fitting location; and
performing detailing of said digitized custom representation of the body area of the individual at said detailing area.
