| 1. A communication unit comprising:
an antenna configured to receive a radio frequency signal that is a combination of a first transmitted and second transmitted
radio frequency signals, wherein the first transmitted radio frequency signal carries information that is spread coded in
accordance with a first spreading code segment during a first time interval and the second transmitted radio frequency signal
carries information that is spread coded in accordance with a second spreading code segment during a second time interval
non-overlapping with the first time interval, the second spreading code segment being different than the first spreading code
segment; and
a circuit operatively coupled to a receiver configured to process the received radio frequency signal and output a frequency
hopped signal carrying the information.
