| 1. A substantially purified nucleic acid molecule comprising a nucleic acid sequence that encodes a polypeptide with gamma-tocopherol
methyltransferase activity and is selected from the group consisting of
(a) a nucleic acid sequence comprising at least 95% identity to SEQ ID NO:5; and
(b) a nucleic acid sequence that encodes the polypeptide sequence of SEQ ID NO:35 or a homolog thereof with at least 90% identity
to the polypeptide sequence of SEQ ID NO:35.
