| 1. A method for eliminating backlash in a pan and tilt device having a table, the method comprising:
associating a first worm gear and a second worm gear with a drive gear;
connecting a primary motor to the first worm gear and a slave motor to the second worm gear;
moving the drive gear in a desired direction of motion with the primary motor and the slave motor to pan or tilt the table
of the pan and tilt device to a desired position;
stopping the drive gear in the desired position; and
moving the slave motor in a reverse motion relative to the desired direction of motion to lock the pan and tilt device.
