1. A pointing device, comprising:
hall elements that detect inclinations of a single magnet in first, second and third directions in a two-dimensional plane, where the first, second and third directions correspond to three dimensions of a three-dimensional space, the hall elements being arranged along the first, second and third directions in the two-dimensional plane; and
a control unit that determines a pointing direction in the three-dimensional space based on output voltages of the hall elements depending on the inclinations of the magnet.
