| 1. A system for providing printing services, comprising:
spooling means for receiving and storing one or more print jobs from a print job source via a network; and
polling means associated with a printing means, said polling means capable of polling the spooling means via the network to
identify a print job associated with the polling means, wherein said polling means is located within a gateway firewall;
wherein the spooling means comprises a trusted location, and wherein said spooling means is located outside said gateway firewall.
