| 1. A computer-readable recording medium having a computer program embedded therein, the computer program, when executed by
a computer, causing the computer to execute a step comprising:
generating data relating to a variable length code and formed by aligning a synchronization code, a code word and a stuffing
code in sequence, the code word being selected according to an inputted source symbol from a code word table, the code word
table associating the code word with the source symbol, the code word having code length according to occurrence probability
of the source symbol, being capable of being decoded in forward and backward directions, and being formed so that a delimiter
of the code word is identified by a predetermined weight, the stuffing code being capable of being decoded in backward direction,
a first bit of the stuffing code having a first value and when there is a bit subsequent to the first bit in the stuffing
code, the subsequent bit having a second value.
