A VPSi composite oxide catalyst precursor for preparing a catalyst for the production of maleic anhydride, characterized in that said catalyst precursor has a pore size distribution of: more than 90% pores having a pore size of greater than 100 Å, less than 10% pores having a pore size of smaller than 100 Å, and having a pore volume of 0.01-0.10 ml/g. |
