| 1. A method of converting a color space, comprising:
separating a color signal of a given pixel into a brightness component and a saturation component;
obtaining a boundary value of the saturation component of a color gamut, to which the color signal belongs, in a first color
space using the separated brightness component and saturation components; and
converting the first color space into a second color space in which saturation components and hue components are independently
controlled by normalizing the saturation component of the given pixel using the obtained boundary value.
