| 1. A controller for switching power supplies, the controller comprising:
a nonlinear controller component providing a switch state to a switch driver, said switch state corresponding to predetermined
switching power supply state variables; said switch state being obtained from a nonlinear relationship between switch states
and power supply state variables;
said nonlinear controller component being operatively connected to receive as inputs at least one predetermined switching
power supply state variable;
said nonlinear relationship between switch states and at least one predetermined switching power supply state variable being
obtained by optimizing, utilizing optimization techniques, a predetermined function of said switch states and internal states.
