1. A method of screening potential binding agent(s) to determine those which bind aromatic prenyltransferase(s) wherein said aromatic prenyltransferase(s) have a beta/alpha barrel structure and at least 95% sequence identity with the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:2, said method comprising:
contacting said potential binding agent(s) with said aromatic prenyltransferase(s) in the presence of an aromatic prenyltransferase substrate; and
determining the ability of said potential binding agent to compete with said aromatic prenyltransferase substrate binding to said aromatic prenyltransferase(s), wherein the potential binding agent has been modeled to fit spatially into an aromatic prenyltransferase interaction site defined by a plurality of atomic coordinates.
