| 1. A system for performing signal processing, comprising:
a system input for receiving a selection input for format conversion of a first signal having a first format and supplied
on a first system input;
a switching circuit having plural switching circuit inputs and plural switching circuit outputs for routing the first signal,
received via a first switching circuit input of the switching circuit, to a first switching circuit output of the switching
circuit; and
a processor connected to the switching circuit for processing, based on the received selection input, the first signal received
via the first switching circuit output into a second signal having a second format, and supplying the second signal to a second
switching circuit input of the switching circuit,
wherein the switching circuit is configured to route the second signal, received from the processor via the second switching
circuit input, to a first system output via a second switching circuit output of the switching circuit.
