1. A phase change ink comprising a colorant, an initiator, and a phase change ink carrier, said carrier comprising (A) a urethane which is the reaction product of a mixture comprising (1) an isocyanate; and (2) an alcohol selected from the group consisting of 1,4 butanediol vinyl ether, 2-allyloxy ethanol, 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol vinyl ether, ethylene glycol vinyl ether, di(ethylene glycol) vinyl ether, and mixtures thereof; (B) a compound which is the reaction product of a mixture comprising (1) an isocyanate; and (2) a component comprising (a) an amine having at least one ethylenic unsaturation; (b) an acid having at least one ethylenic unsaturation; (c) a mixture of an amine having at least one ethylenic unsaturation and an alcohol having at least one ethylenic unsaturation; (d) a mixture of an acid having at least one ethylenic unsaturation and an alcohol having at least one ethylenic unsaturation; or (e) mixtures thereof; or (C) a mixture of (A) and (B); said ink being curable upon exposure to ultraviolet radiation.
